All of the information and
content on this web site, including but not limited to all text, graphics,
software applications, video and audio files and photos ("Content") is
Security Web Sites, Inc.'s property and is protected by copyright under both
Single Installation vs.
Multiple User Access:
The purchaser may install and provide multiple user access to one (1) copy of
the installed or published security web site - hereafter referred to as SWS
Product - on a single production (i.e., for general use by the intended user
population/audience) computer or computing platform. The SWS Product MUST NOT be
installed on more than one (1) production computer or computing platform unless
licensed to do so in accordance with specific and prior agreements with Security
Web Sites, Inc. The purchaser may update or modify the contents of the web
pages as necessary - in a test, development, update
environment - to reflect the specific needs or requirements of the purchasing
organization. However, once the product is placed in a production
environment, the product MUST NOT be installed on more than one production
platform at any given time.
ISO 27001/17799 (and subsequent updates and/or replacements) - may be used as a standard for the development of policies and standards; however, ISO 27001/17799 is licensed to the individual purchaser of the product and cannot be shared or duplicated without authorization from BSI, the owner of the standard.
Storage Use:
The purchaser may store or install one (1) copy of the SWS Product on a storage
device (e.g., network or server platform/device) used to install or run the SWS
Product on a designated computer or computing platform within the company’s
private or internal network (e.g., intranet). The SWS Product MUST NOT be
installed on more than one (1) production computer or computing platform unless
licensed to do so in accordance with specific and prior agreements with Security
Web Sites, Inc.
Network Use: The
license for the SWS Product - including and in particular the ISO 27001/17799 (and subsequent updates and/or replacement to
the licensed standard) - does NOT permit installation and/or publishing of the SWS Product or any part/subset of the SWS Product on any public network
including, but not limited to the Internet without specific and prior agreements
with Security Web Sites, Inc.
Denial of Revenue:
The purchaser MUST NOT copy, use, sell, or otherwise distribute the SWS Product
in such a way as to deny Security Web Sites, Inc. fair and just compensation for
its product. The SWS Product - including
ISO 27001/17799
(and subsequent updates and/or replacement to the licensed standard)
- is licensed as a single product; its components CANNOT be separated and used
on more than one computing platform at any given period of time.

trade secret and copyright laws. Copying or other reproduction, including
photocopying, recording, or transmitting in any form by electronic or mechanical
means, or any other disclosure to third parties, without prior authorization or
approval from Security Web Sites, Inc., is strictly prohibited. The
purchased product – as amended, updated, and/or modified to reflect the
purchaser's unique requirements – is licensed for one (1) production server
platform, physical device, or web site device/domain. The intent of this
agreement is not to hinder testing, updating, and/or modifying this product to
meet unique company security requirements, procedures, and processes (e.g.,
change management), but to prohibit copyright and license violations that deny
revenue to Security Web Sites, Inc.
